Nakamba deserves a run now he's an old fashioned dm that does all the dirty stuff for me I'd play Nakamba and Dougie, and and play mgginn where barkley plays, I still think we need a rb, if we're not going to play kessler, we need a class winger and striker in summer, aswell as squad players it recon it will be more like 6/ 7 in 6/ 7,out in summer.

I don`t think they work together mate, either one or the other.
And on recent showings Nakamba wins hands down.

On recent showings Dave, the comparisons with N’Golo Kanté when he first signed for us, don’t look so exaggerated. A few months ago many of us were concerned that we might lose Luiz on the buy back clause.
Now, I don’t think we are so much, and 25/ 30 million looks about right, going on Dougie’s form this season. I think this dip in form will be enough to put City off anyway. He’s not good enough to be a regular starter in the City team, and if the plan was to try and make a profit by selling him to one of the Italian clubs that are supposedly interested, I can’t see them getting more than they would have to pay us for him. He is a good player however, not as good as Nakamba in terms of defensive duties, but better with the ball at feet, with a superior range of passing in his locker.
I think there will be a role for both of them, but not necessarily in tandem in a 2 man DM formation.
Luiz may well be used in a more central/ attacking sense, if Nakamba continues his excellent form in the holding role.

Good shout mark, for instance against the likes of city spurs United Liverpool I’d like to see nakamba as DM with Doug and maginn center field that should give us huge protection, then against the weaker teams I’d drop Doug if it was to much defensive mindset or simply play him further forward as I think he has it in his locker to go more attacking, especially with nakamba behind him he can push forward without constantly having to worry about covering back.

Hi guys Mark / Whacky, I think you will see from a couple of my posts weeks ago, I am not a huge fan of Luiz to be honest.
He is ok, but I am not convinced, maybe a bit further forward, but the jury is still very much out.

Horses for courses Whack and hopefully it won’t be long before Sanson features regularly as well mate.

Hi Dave, last season for those 10 remaining games played after the lockdown, Luiz was outstanding, and looked our best player, he even outshone Jack at times.
This season though, his form has been patchy and for me he hasn’t ever really reached the heights he set during that period.
At times he’s been caught out of position and he lacks that bit of sharpness to recover in those circumstances.
There’s no doubting his comfort on the ball, first touches are usually good and his passing range is generally good and accurate.
I would prefer it if he stayed, but if City are prepared to part with 25-30 million to take him back, I don’t think it would be the set back I think we thought it would be, especially taking into account Nakamba’s improvement and the addition of Morgan Sanson to the squad.

I like Luiz Dave as you know. He was brilliant last season after lockdown but hasn't quite hit the same standards this season unfortunately. That being said I feel he has been left somewhat exposed in recent games and paid the price. Like yourself I feel he could be more effective playing further up the pitch as he definitely has the skillset and ability to pick a pass and can carry a goal threat. Maybe something to try in the future? 🤔.
