Following on from Dave’s post on Friday, Moose and myself were given the task of putting together a Villa ( banter site) veterans X1.
So, we reckon this side would give those Leeds banter boys ( or should we say, Billy Bremner wannabes) a right pasting😁

We gave consideration to subs and soon came to the conclusion that we’ll need a lot of them 😁. So we would ask the following to do the honours and I don’t think you’ll be waiting long to get on the pitch, as I can hear those creaking joints alrea🥴

Every team needs a manager, so we decided to go for Chris and Rk as his assistant.
We thought we might need 2 Physios 😁 and we ask Scotty and DaveDean to do the honours ( you might be busy guys ) 😂
Walkies, you’re in charge of public relations mate, and if you could supply the fish&chips mate, it would be appreciated.
For Match days we thought it would be only fitting if Ed001 could be the ref with Ed002 and Ed007 as his assistants. Our conspiracy expert Ed033, should take charge of VAR ( we’ll have a whip round and slip you a tenner mate 😉) .
Oh, I almost forgot it was unanimously decided that TOV should be team captain, a no nonsense, merciless Centre Half, who will lead by example.

The whole effort has been a credit to all of us, Eds included.
Great bit of fun, and could do with a bit more of this between games.

Love it guys😎 my pins and screws might interfere with the signal I’m thinking, and does it count if your artificial hip is in an offside position? Asking for a friend 😂😂 I’m wondering if I’m the kid on the team at 39yrs lol.

{Ed007's Note - I had an accident at work 20 years ago when a pile of steel beams fell on me breaking my leg in a few places and basically shattering my ankle. I had pins and screws in my all over my leg, ankle and foot for about 10 years and was fine (back at work, playing football and golf etc) until the metalwork became infected and had to be removed.
Now I need crutches to get about - after a further 9 operations trying to fix it - I can't get a shoe on my foot and have seriously chronic pain in my leg, ankle and foot from the ops, and in back and hip from putting my weight on my right leg all the time. I'll more than likely end up in a wheelchair as time goes on.
That should cheer you up on a dreary Sunday afternoon, Whack 😁

I used to be a keeper many years ago in the John Burridge mould ie mad these days if I went down for a save in the first minute it would be half time before I’d got up 🤣🤣 I’m not even sure I can make the bench.

I did see the post lads and wrote half a reply but something came up and never hit submit! But I’ll take the managers role no problem, maybe go for a cross between Clough and Ferguson😂 well done all who put this together, good to stay positive and have a laugh no matter how silly in times like this!

Damn Ed that’s a tough 1 I’m sorry to hear that, thankfully u have an angel taking care of you and I hope you stay upright for quiet some time yet👊 Mine wasn’t as bad I had a wheel of a 30 tonne loader fall on me, damaged my knee but my ankle took the brunt I got a pin and some screws in it, had to stop playing sport for 4 years but keeping at the physio eventually got me back for a few years which I thoroughly enjoyed, thankfully my injuries haven’t come back to haunt me as yet, a bit of arthritis is probably to be expected at some point but when u hear other ppls horrors it makes u thankful.
