Best part about tonight is it was comfortable. Did what we needed to in the first half, and then saw it out with ease. Didn't need to run ourselves ragged and knacker ourselves for Wednesday. Got the job done in second gear.
Matty Target btw, like a new player, learnt last year and putting everything into practice this year. Still need a back up, but I'm starting to think it really will be a back up and not someone to replace him!

A very good performance. Flagged a bit in 2nd half but with what’s happened at the club it’s no surprise. Another game under their belts.
Nakamba looked a different player tonight. Always an outlet. Broke play up. Never gave the ball away. Composed.

Agree Trinity, he surprised me tonight, some of his one touch passing really set us up to move it quicker and fly forward, fair play to him! Seems like players really want to fight for their place now, first El Ghazi and now Nakamba.
Good solid win without getting out of second gear, onto Wednesday.

Spot on Chris, I've had reservations about Targett in the past, but if he keeps on like this I'm more inclined to think we need an up and coming back up as apposed to a senior replacement. Traore is coming along nicely and great to see Watkins get a well deserved goal too.
We've come such along way as a team and club from 12 months ago. to be able to coast for 45 minutes and still win comfortably along side our recent performances despite not winning. I hope a few on here will measure their words a little more before calling for players to be sold or that the club don't know what they're doing.
Southampton will be a tough game and I fancy a goal fest, but bring it on.

100%, I've always had question marks over Matt Targett but he has been exceptional recently - We need competition for places but we will do well to find a better LB than Targett at this moment in time.
