Praying we see at least one of Trez or Barkley on the bench Sunday. Our first 11 for the first time since probably the MON era, looks strong, and we go into games knowing that they will have a go, and do us proud no matter the result or opponent. However when things aren't going our way, which happens in football, second balls dropping in the oppositions favour, maybe the ref is having a mare or one of our lads is having an off day, we have literally nothing attacking wise to come off the bench.

When everyone is fully fit, having a potential bench of Wes, Barkley/ Traore, El Ghazi/ Trez, attacking wise would be quality. I can't wait to see Wes in this team, he came in to a struggling side, in his first season in the prem, as a very young pro, and still in less games out scored more expensive players in Haller and Joelinton. Going into last 10 pushing for a winner and going 442 with Wes and Watkins up top, fingers crossed we see that ASAP!

And that's all without signings, you add a Brooks or Buendia or Olise into the mix and I really think we are pushing on. We saw last season and in many ways with Wolves the risks of flirting with the top 8 and Europe, but maybe not solidifying your space there with quality reinforcements. Wolves with such a small squad, lose their striker and their levels drop significantly, Sheffield United fail to bring in real quality back up in the transfer window and fall apart.

If and it's a big if, we finish top 10 this season, we are on the cusp of something great, we have to make sure we push on!

I was just thinking the exact same thing about Wes and Watkins up top, more of Watkins being a 2nd striker as he’s got a great engine to chase things down. I’m thinking a 442 with them 2 up top, a midfield 3 of McGinn Luiz and Barkley, Jack floating about because he can be devastating from wherever he plays and would keep him further up the pitch, defence picks itself. Then on the bench we have attacking options galore. We’re playing well right now with the team that’s being picked, but the 2 up top option is definitely as close to a MON team as we can get

I like that idea ally, I’d go 442 with the ball, exactly how you’ve described, then without 433 where Wes switches central olly wide right and jack left!

I can see 442 working Ally and Chris but for me I'd go 3 5 2 with back 3 of Mings Hause Konza but putting Cash in the left side of midfield that could revert back to a back 4 if needed with Hause as left back and have Ollie and Wes up top again with a 352 you could also go 451 but that's just me🙂🙂.

Yeah I would go along with that Daz, I think it has been mentioned before.

Sorry I ment Cash on right side durrrr.

Daz, always believed a back 3 being the best way to go with the likes of Cash or Targett falling back when needed to make a 4 or 5.
Currently we can only get a 4 when under pressure.
Chelsea exploited Cashes adventurous side by playing 90% down their left leaving us with 3 max.
3 solid at the back. Love it>.

Can’t disagree with anything said there, only if we had a back 3 have Mings on the left, Konsa on the right, and Paul McGrath in the middle, when cloning is made legal 😂 bit of experience needed in the middle, don’t know who though, maybe even a proper sweeper like what Danny Blind was in the 90’s, again in the current I can’t think of anyone unless it was a converted defensive midfielder with a bit of height 🤷🏼‍♂️
