No Villa till Sunday, how do we all feel about Marcus Rashfords feed the children campaign? And the 200+ MP's that voted against it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to applaud Rashford, also other players, who have been doing their bit . also the fans groups, who rarely get good publicity, who have been donating to food banks and other good causes .
As far as the MPs are concerned, it’s disgusting. When we can give Billions, in overseas aid, to countries developing warheads and space rockets . Then we Have children staving here, non of it makes any sense at all .
Onwards&Upwards Villaforever.

Grrr Chris why did you bring this up. Peronally for me think it's a load of tosh. What did people do back in the day they made their own meals it taught our generation to appreciate things more, Now kids are getting things put on their laps for them and I bet more than half that are having these meals their parents either smoke have pets or go for McDonalds off their benefits. I appreciate that some cannot afford meals but I would let them have them but also they have to put back into the system what they have.

Why not get deliveroo to help out and deliver food to kids at lunchtime, if kids at school are anything like my grandkids they will have the number in their phones.

I purposely didn’t write my opinion with the question, just to gauge the responses. Personally I think as with a lot of things you can’t blanket statement everyone. No doubt some people fiddle the system, but at the same time there are people whom are less fortunate, who are trying to do something about it and need a helping hand.

Done correctly so that people can’t fiddle the benefit to get Non essentials I think it’s a brilliant idea. So many have lost jobs recently, some will be put into a situation they have never been in.

My solution was the children who get free school meals get a meal voucher at say Tesco, go in there you get sandwich crisps drink and yoghurt with your voucher.

In principle I am all in favour of Rashford’s campaign however I feel there’s a broader issue which is how are we going to pay for all the money that is being spent? The economy has contracted significantly, we are borrowing extensively, and we are breaking away from our largest trading partner in 3 months. It doesn’t sound like a recipe for success to me.

Its not a good recipe John, something will crash mate, the Economy or the Stock Market, everything is being propped up at the moment.
But sooner or later something will give.

Thats correct.
The worst is still to come.
We are already in debt greater than the end of WW2.
Doubt any of us were about at the end of the 1920's when the world went into reccesion. It took 3 years for recovery to start, but it did and it will again.
As a nation we are far better off than our families in 1930. So We should survive.
