Wow Ally a bold prediction and I hope your right. I did like Jimmy I thought he was a quality keeper but personally I think Bosnich was better.

Ally I don't think you could even describe it as kicking. Bosssie and yorkie were both legends on and off the field (lock up your daughters) sadly if bossie was just starting off he wouldn't even get a game, you have to be a sweeper these days and bossie didn't have that ability with his dire kicking and distribution .

Funnily enough i might be a tad old fashioned but I tend to like my keepers first and foremost to collect crosses and stop shots and Bossie was first rate at that, we have had other keepers whose distribution was quite good but couldn’t catch a cold David James springs to mind, if I had to choose between the two it would be Bossie every time.

My sentiments exactly John, keep the ball out of the net, and then get rid.
Before the season is out, we will commit a howler at some point, playing about with it as we do.

Nigel Sims would hold his own with any of our keepers over the years
Big and strong.
Best uncapped keeper in the league at the time.
Cant remember the names of ALL the keepers we have had but my thoughts are stop the ball any way you can and then move it forward.
Do remember Con Martin, played in goal and centre half for both Villa and Ireland. Long time ago.
