I really hope we stay clear of Wilson, 29 in February is not great.
Apart from the reported dislike of our club, his injury record is dire.
The guy has missed 500 days through injury, two stints were for a recurrence of the same cruciate ligament rupture.
I have also looked at his stats for general play, his distributions and his control from passes he receives is listed a poor.
So because that is all I can go on, I would consider him a poor sticking plaster remedy.

If we sign Wilson then there needs to be serious questions asked! Wilson does not show ambition, ok I understand not all signings need to be ambitious but the non ambitious signings need to make sense. Wilson is 29 soon, has a bad injury record, would cost 20M, would be on massive wages and is not better than Wesley. Questions need to be asked if we make this signing!

Is this the same Wilson that run us ragged last season? Come on he has been rumoured to sign if he passes his strict medical then he is ok 20 mill for a proven premier league striker which people want proven premier quality then trust our recruitment team. No wonder players don't want to sign for us if they read social media fans want signings and names get touted about and they have a dig if we signed Mbappe we would have moaners.

Most strikers run us ragged last season Daz.
I have mentioned premiership proven in any of my posts, I don`t care where they play their football.
If they are good enough, are the right age group, and are eager to achieve success, then great.
No matter how strict a medical is Daz, it will not tell you if you are going to blow your gasket mate.
Just saying he is not a player who I would go for.

Understand your sentiments Dave but he's a proven Premier League striker and let's face it trying to get a striker from a team that wants to keep a player who scores 15-20 goals a season is going to be hard very hard so for me this would be a no brainer but then it's just paper talk mate.

Wilson 30 goals in 3 seasons is pretty poor for a guy who is seemingly a proven premier league striker.

Proven is very generous Daz. If we spend 20M on him I'll be very concerned.
