Chelsea are the big spenders in this window and there is now talk of them going for Declan Rice. If they do it would take their spending up to around a staggering 250 million ( not sure where that would place them in terms of FFP🤔)
I was wondering if Grealish was to leave, considering the purchases Chelsea have made, if there might be a possibility of acquiring Ross Barkley. Chelsea are surely going to have to sell a few aren’t they.
{Ed047's Note - it’s money they’ve had burning a hole because of the previous transfer ban, so all the dosh from Hazard and Morata plus last seasons transfer money and this.
That’s no doubt above £200 million mate.

{Ed047's Note - who knows Mark, I’m not a fan of Barkley and was surprised when Chelsea actually bought him.
Never seems to do enough and just has flashes of quality.
I imagine he’d still be a few quid though Mark.

I think if it was no more than 25 million it would be well worth considering from our end, and that he could be a good replacement for Jack, if he were to leave. I expect Chelsea would want more than that though.
{Ed047's Note - he signed for £15 million Mark, last year of contract so Chelsea took a punt.
Now he obviously has a contract and is home grown, don’t know if that affects you guys, but they’re definitely going to want a few quid back.
With the likelihood of Kai Havertz in bound there attacking midfield is looking pretty well stocked.

Mark, Chelsea paid £15m in 2018 and gave him a 5 1/ 2 yr contract.

I must admit I quite like Barkley but I also like Loftus Cheek any chance he might be available?
