Rumours that arsenal are willing to sell there goalkeeper Martinez now that Leno is fit again, if true be more than happy to try a sneaky bid as I think the guy is underrated .

I thought the same when I saw it earlier Smithy. Might be a bit too similar to heaton though, we’d essentially have two first team keepers when Heatons fit, don’t know if that’s good or bad.

Chris/ Smithy, the big difference is Martinez is 7 years younger than Heaton so could be with the club a lot longer.

Arsenal are looking for 20 million, so around the the same that Sheffield Utd. paid for Ramsdale.
I would be all for it if we have adequate funds, otherwise Ben Foster is still capable and would be a lot cheaper.

He would probably start as No.1 at Villa Ed, because I don’t think Heaton will be fit for the start of the season. It would be therefore his Jersey to hang on to.
{Ed047's Note - he’d be a great signing if you got him Mark and I think he’s better than Heaton.
I’d like him to stay and be our number 1 though, he’s looked quality since he came in.
I guess who Arteta picks this afternoon will be a good pointer of where he stands and will no doubt make his mind up about leaving.
