All I see is link after link with attacking players our cbks are crap not 1 can head a ball explains why we conceded so many goals from corners plus we need a gk with heaton still out. i am amazed we haven't got another gk as nyland an steer are league 1 standard at best.

Walkies we supposedly have £100 million to spend if we buy a centre back and a keeper how much will that leave us to spend on quality wide man plus a centre forward? I would suggest not a lot. It’s all about priorities and whilst I think in an ideal world I wouldn’t mind looking at some defenders to add to the squad, but I think if we keep Luiz patrolling in front of the back four and he performs as he did after lockdown we should be tighter at the back let’s not forget we have an ex England centre half coaching them😀 I also think Shakespeare will bring-something to the coaching side but if we don’t add quality in the final third then I think we won’t be as lucky next season as we have been this.

You could be right but i definitely would get a cbk aswel as a striker ollie watkins can play on the wing but if we don't get somebody to hold the ball up that balls coming back.

I think Luiz ain’t the middle of the park sit in front of the defence kind of player, he’s better further upfield, he ain’t no Kante, I keep on banging the drum for Isaac Hayden, in last year of his contract and wants to move more south, had a good season just gone, prem expirience, no brainer for me if you can get him for £10M or less, Luiz can’t score 30 yarders stuck on the halfway line?

Just on what you’ve said about Dougie Ally, did you give the last 10 games of the season a miss? Fella was unreal as a defensive mid, and our best player since the restart. Made to play that role.

Didn’t look like he was strictly playing a proper defensive mid to me, imo play him 10 games further forward with a true defensive mid and see what he can do, I agree that he was probably our best player post lockdown, don’t think he’s a nasty enough player to be defensive mid, he’s a creative player 1st, tackler 2nd, need someone more defensive minded especially with our play out from the back centre halves who never give it the row Z treatment

I do agree he’s very creative, changed games for us like Brighton away and Watford at home. Just thought he excelled in front of the back 4, grew into it and with time he will not just protect the back 4 but supply the front 4, create from deep and dictate, he’s got the ability.
He’s nasty without being stupid, tactical fouls, pulls of the arm on the refs blind side, clever as he breaks up play without taking bookings.

It all comes down to the amount of money we have to spend the quality of the recruits we want to bring in and what are the most critical roles we need to strengthen. For me personally I would rather buy 3-4 top quality players and the priority is 2 wingers and a goal scoring centre forward.
