Lots of links to players but so far not one signing. I hope I'm wrong but I fear some panic buying again at the end of the window. Too much going on with the backroom staff for us to have had any serious thoughts on players.
The new sporting/ recruitment director could have different ideas to DS and consequently deals that may have been on the horizon may have been shelved and the process would have to start all over again.
I'm naturally pessimistic but I have seen too many transfer windows to make me optimistic.

You may well be right all the talk about Watkins and it seems he may be heading to Leicester too much talk and not enough action I’m afraid.

The problem with all that JD, is that most, if not all the links are from villa fans, who we should get, and who they think we need, plus the input from idle journalists.
Its fun I know, but it is always very misleading and disappointing in the long run.
Even the Grealish saga could fizzle out, in fact that might be the obstacle that is holding up proceedings.

Just ask yourselves, who knew about Shakespeare before it happened? Half the signings last summer were announced without one journo having a clue. A lot will be going on behind the scenes, but to say there isn’t enough action yet is bed wetting, we all want signings, be patient.

We were patient last year and look what we got, players that were not much better than championship quality.

That’s a lie, there was no need to be patient last year, there was a signing every other day for the most part😂 hindsight is a wonderful thing, there wasn’t any moaning at the time.

Not many teams have signed players, we'll probably end up with Watkins who I hope does well or he could turn out to be another Guy Whittingham. I think we'll do well to sign 2 players by the start of the season, re-assess where we are and who's available and then add another couple of signings. We've got till 5th October, now's not the time to panic!
