Why get rid of Deano if we stay up? He would have achieved his objective with a squad largely new to the Prem, three quality signings would push the team forward. We'd have all taken 17th place at the start of the season!

Out of his depth after masterminding that victory against a team that just beat both City and Liverpool.
Not to mention they had all 3 of their strikers on the pitch so weren't holding anything back.
Smith has proven since the break that he is learning and changing things where possible and within reason.
The Hause injury was lucky in a sense forcing Dean to go back to a natural full back when he may have continued with Konsa there but I can't think of a managerial decision I disagreed with in the last 3 games.
I was willing him to make his last changes earlier than he did for 2 lots of fresh legs but his decision to stick with the form players proved to be the correct one.

Annoying thing is he’s been making these tweaks and changes all season, people only notice when there’s a win. He’s working with garbage, his job should be safe regardless.

Absolutely. He'll have kept a team of newcomers up who are mostly growing into the league at last. Konsa, Luiz and Trez are finally showing they can manage it. We'll have the chance to change up problem positions in the transfer window to hopefully push mid-table and above next season.
