Based on the last six games I think Luiz will fetch more than grelish, how sad a player shows his best when looking for a move, where has his firm been when we needed him early dors.

Luiz will go for the 30M but back city have.

Think I recall Smith saying it's a substantial buy back, you'd imagine it's probably double what we paid so 30M seems like a good estimate. With City having a buy back option, does that make a sale less likely? Unless it's City who buy him.

I wonder who will go, I think Grealish and Mings are definitely going, they will fetch 80M you'd imagine - But who else goes? I actually don't see a massive fire sale, it's not like the last time where Micah Richards was on 60K a week - These are going players, on manageable wages.

If we can keep the bulk of the squad together, target top championship quality players and sprinkle in some of our academy I think we will be fine. Like this team would surely compete?

BUY:

Jayden Bogle
Nathan Collins
John Swift
Eberechi Eze
Joe Lolly
Karlan Grant

Heaton

Bogle, Konsa, Engles, Targett

Luiz, McGinn, Swift

Lolly, Grant, Eze.

I like that team mate, think we’d struggle to keep hold of McGinn and Luiz though.

Yeah, I may be dreaming that we can keep them Chris :-)

I just wonder will clubs have the money we would insist on? And does City's buy back mean it's City or bust for Luiz?

BK you're suggesting another rebuild when the 1 we've just undertaken hasn't worked out too well. I know it's all dependent on who stays and who goes but we can't keep rebuilding the entire squad every season, there has to be some continuity and a more measured approach should be the way forward.
Only time, and which division we find ourselves in, will tell what needs doing in terms of recruitment but the less upheaval the better and for God sake let's give the kids a chance to shine.

Perfect response moose. Just look what happened last time we went down and changed the entire squad.

Yes rknewell I don't want to bloody hear the word "gel" next season. There is only a short period between seasons so its important we get things right first time and hit the ground running as we don't want to be playing catch up at any point. If it is indeed the championship we should have the attitude of "we're Aston Villa try and beat us if you dare". But it all depends on who stays but I feel a midfield involving Luiz and McGinn and maybe Jacob Ramsey would smash it.
