I am the only 1 thinking villas future is bright even if we go down. We didn't spend that much really when u needed a whole new team we wanted better quality but u can only spend 150 million on a team in the prem its 40 million a player. I would keep smith sack terry and when we sell grelish we got 80 million to spend in the championship we be fine. We can't keep sacking managers its not his fault we lost up 2 10 1st teamers. Now we have a base next time we are up we can buy better quality. We are not that bad. We just had a new sponsor as well. Keep the faith!

Walkies, I think you are a valuable member of this forum, and I enjoy reading your input immensely.
But I must say, it appears whichever side of the bed you get out of, has a big bearing on which members of staff / players at Villa Park, you like or dislike, on any given day, 😂😂😂😎.

And what base walkies we haven't even got a spine of 5 good players mate we rely on jck and mginn mate.

Exactly 4eva, we are way short of 5 good players, I am even beginning to question McGinns commitment and ability.
Some players get rave reviews when playing in a winning side, and can look very good players indeed, until things go off the rails, they can then become very average, Drinkwater is a classic example of that.

Konsa has done well while playing in the middle and will only improve. Targett is decent enough if he can stay fit.
Trez could be like Traore if coached right and take the headless chicken part out of his game.

Guilbert will be good enough in Championship.
Get Steer back fit and we've got a solid keeper.
Keep Davis fit and teach him not to shoot straight at the keeper.
There's enough there with good coaching and regular match minutes that supplemented with a bit of experience could manage it.

Disagree apart from Davis mate both wing backs are as slow as snails, we should be looking at building a team with fast players to counter attack.

That's why you look for players like reach and lolley who while young have plenty of experience and can carry their teams. Both have skill and pace.
If Brentford don't get promotion maybe look to nick Watkins for extra pace up there if prem teams don't go for him.
Not sure how you can disagree with Steer either. Other than one awful preseason game I've not seen him make a bad mistake. There are small downsides where he can command his area better and improve positioning but those will come in time.
