Congrats to lpool on winning the league it proves what having a class manager and scouting set up does over 4 years, they picked out who they wanted and made the world class players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree 4eva however in our case sadly it would take a lot longer to achieve success I think the infrastructure at Anfield is well established whereas ours is not.

It also proves that teams can become a better team, without so called superstars.
Nobody wanted to sell Coutinho, but it happened, they then went and spent the money on two players Van Dijk, and Allison Becker, BINGO.

Just the same as nobody wants to sell Grealish, he has to go.
We must refresh the team, 5 quality signings and some of our own young blood, then the rebuild starts.

so you would swap JG for Van Dijk, that £75.000000.its how much he cost. to get into the top 6 you need JG and 5 other top players,

26 Jun 2020 15:37:54
Van Dijk, cost £75000000,so you would swap him for JG, we need 5 top players and jack to make the top 6.

I am not going there mate.
If you can`t understand my post, best left unsaid.

I think Van Dyke for Grealish would be a great bit of business, really stiffen up our defence and a fresh challenge after winning the league especially if we offered him the captaincy 👍.

26 Jun 2020 17:47:29
Can’t be many, if any, better central defenders in the world Moose, there are plenty of midfielders better than Grealish.
Would be world class business but somehow I don’t think Liverpool would be that benevolent 🤔.

26 Jun 2020 17:47:59
The title was sent in the pitch but they only got there by spending at the same level as Chelsea, City and United. They could afford to lose Coutinho when they come out with Mane, Salah, Van Dijk and Alisson.
TAA and Robertson have definitely played their part attacking but would be slated for goals conceded if they didn't have the cover of Henderson and Fabinho.
Lose Jack and the money only really goes to our pick of Championship or lower European Leagues. £20mill on some of them may prove to be shrewd but comparing our situation with being able to get 2 £80mill players is apples and chalk (it's that far off it needs split analogies)

26 Jun 2020 18:35:17
Someone phone Liverpool and ask if they’ll swap grealish for Van Dijk😂😂😂 Jesus Christ.

26 Jun 2020 18:51:05
So villajk, after all that diversion.
A simplified explanation of my point is, we should sell Grealish and then invest the money into two decent players.
Basically for the benefit of the team.

26 Jun 2020 19:05:33
when jack goes, he has to, it will be to a top team with player with talent and skill he won't have to carry the team, and with the£80 million we will waste on 5 players, villadave i understand your post, you don't understand mine.

26 Jun 2020 19:35:37
Tongue meet cheek 😁.

It will be interesting to see what happens with regards to Jack I think whether we stay up or get relegated Jack will in all probability want to go to further his career because if we are honest it will take some time and careful management before we are competitive with the top premier sides I know figures like £70 to £80 million are being banded about but I am not sure that any of the sides who could pay that will pay it or even if they would would Jack be a regular starter. So for example I can’t see either Man City or Liverpool being interested they are already stacked out with midfield talent. Man Utd keep getting mentioned but now the have Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba staying he wants to stay would Jack get a regular place in his favoured central midfield position? I am not so sure and with Rashford out wide left he won’t get in there either. Chelsea have Mason Mount so why would they look to buy Jack. That leaves Spurs and Everton but from all accounts Spurs don’t have the funds and are Everton likely to be challenging the top sides in the near future I don’t think so. So whilst I think selling Jack for the overall benefit of the team like what we did when we sold David Platt might not be as easy this time round.

{Ed002's Note - The argument is that he offers something different to BF John - and I think he does. MU remain very keen and the other interest from Spurs is stuck as they have financial problems and need to sell to buy.}

26 Jun 2020 21:22:34
Ed - I agree he offers something different but if he wants to be an England regular he needs to be starting more than 15 to 20 games a season in my opinion.

{Ed002's Note - They would look to play both John, they are not looking at spending what could be a huge amount of money of a rotation player.]

Thanks Ed if it happens I will be interested to see how it works.
