I like Samatta and think over time he would come good so buying him in a summer and building a game plan that works for him would have made sense.
I'm feeling that a better January buy would have been Steven Fletcher, maybe Glenn Murray to fit the game plan better. Seeing what we lost when Davis went off we could really have done with an experienced physical player up there.

I does not matter who we have, the will sit on the bench, our man Mr Smith, is set in his ways and does not change.
What about Baston, why get him when its obvious he will not play him.

Only got Baston because he was free, don't even think Smith wanted him or maybe he was there as last resort due to Keinans injury record.
Being able to replace one with the other allows the dynamic to remain the same when one is tired. Replacing a hold up player with an "in behind" player clearly didn't work but we didn't have the right option off the bench.

Well that`s not good then is it, that means he lied to us, he said we needed back up, we needed a striker, and he was available, and that he did fit the bill.
Don`t lie to the people that pay your wages, can`t anyone tell the truth anymore.
