I echo wholeheartedly, the statement just made by Gary Neville, and I quote.
"HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE THIS FOOTBALL SAGA IS UNPALATABLE".
We have said it on here before and I will say it again, "forget it".
We want to hug our grandchildren, but we can`t, we want a holiday, we can`t have one, we want to go to the theatre, we can`t.
Its nice to be comfortable financially, of course it is, but if you want the truth, we would sacrifice every penny we have, to wind back the clock 8 Months.
So to all the Bureaucrats, and money people who are making these decisions, I suggest you take a walk round an ICU unit, wake up.

With you 100% on that Dave and Gary Neville does talk a lot of sense.

30 Apr 2020 16:25:02
You know Dave, I’m pretty sure the Premier league would have to get Government approval for a restart. If that’s the case, surely Boris could just pull the plug on this couldn’t he, and you would think after what he went through and witnessed, that he wouldn’t hesitate, so I’m guessing it’s a lot more complicated than that.

30 Apr 2020 16:48:19
You have a good point there Mark, never entered my mind mate.

30 Apr 2020 17:03:02
See the French FA have given the league title to PSG that may mean liverpool might not be so much against cancelling the league now.

30 Apr 2020 17:15:49
I would certainly be very interested to hear what Boris has got to say on the subject Dave.

30 Apr 2020 17:44:39
Yeah, driving me mad Mark, why drag these things out.
Surely they have some sort of contingency plan in place, especially for times like this, or for any other event that is likely to disrupt to this extent.

30 Apr 2020 17:59:56
What they haven’t decided yet in France Moose, is how they’re going to sort out the relegation issue. It is a possibility that no teams will be relegated from what I can gather.

30 Apr 2020 18:16:35
That seems the sensible solution Mark with maybe only those in advanced positions ie Liverpool but when have football authorities done things sensibly? I present the Qatar world cup firstly in the middle of their summer then changed to half way through a season . And Dave I think footballs contingency plan is to get their pockets filled as soon as possible. The government can't really set out a definitive plan as the situation remains fluid so more information must be gathered and the numbers crunched accordingly.

30 Apr 2020 18:29:48
You say that Moose but the Government in France had no qualms about pulling the plug despite the fact that the lockdown over here is ending 11th May.

{Ed002's Note - There is no date to end the lockdown here.}

30 Apr 2020 18:38:03
I’m referring to the lockdown in France, that’s where I live Ed. So what I’m saying is if France is further down the road, so to speak, in getting on top of the virus and they have cancelled their season, despite that, then why haven’t they done the same in England?

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with France.}

30 Apr 2020 18:50:31
You’re right, I know England aren’t obliged to follow suit Ed, I appreciate that, but what’s your view on it, do you think the season should be cancelled? and if so do you think they should get on with and make that decision?

{Ed002's Note - I thin the season should be cancelled, two promoted through the structure, no relegation this year but four for the next two years.}

30 Apr 2020 18:57:07
Ok Ed, always interesting to read your input and thanks for sharing your views with us mate 👍.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome Mark.}

30 Apr 2020 20:58:24
Mark I think the government here maybe feeling some pressure from the FA in regards to the financial meltdown cancelling the league would bring but that's just my view on it. Think they're probably trying to appease people at the moment by keeping options open and the fallout that would come from such drastic but necessary action. Dangling the carrot as it were to momentarily keep the peace.

30 Apr 2020 22:26:42
Looking at other clubs banter sites Moose, I get the impression nearly everybody wants the season cancelled, apart from Liverpool supporters that is, for obvious reasons. So if most football fans want it cancelled I would say practically all non football fans would want it stopped also, so that just leaves Liverpool fans really.
So I wonder what the Government’s attitude towards this Premier league pressure would be if there was a general election around the corner, when all that matters is votes.
Perhaps a little less supportive?

30 Apr 2020 22:37:21
It's a conundrum mate think they're doing all they can, and I'm not keen on politicians full stop, but there's a lot of people from many backgrounds to try and appease and every contingency must be looked at until its clear what will and won't work for the vast majority hence why we're only given information when its absolutely decided and necessary to do so.

30 Apr 2020 23:05:09
Ummm, oh to be a fly on the wall 🤔🦟 but knowing my luck I’d get swatted by Boris 😂.

30 Apr 2020 23:30:02
Knowing bonking Boris he'd try and impregnate you especially if you're blonde 😂😂.

01 May 2020 07:04:54
What a ghastly thought, I’d rather be swatted 🤮.

01 May 2020 10:18:06
Don't worry Mark big bad mad Donald Trump will ride to the rescue with his virus busting anti malaria drug or inject you with Dettol 😂😂😂.

01 May 2020 10:40:40
I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad .

01 May 2020 11:04:42
