I see West Ham and Arsenal have started training again. Word is that 8th June is being ear-marked for a return to action, with matches to be played, as expected, behind closed doors.
No word on when Villa plan to return to training, but seeing as West Ham are fellow relegation candidates, I would suggest that they need to get cracking.
Also interesting to see that should action resume, 5 substitutes will most likely be permitted for the 9/ 10 games that remain. Who knows, if this works out well, maybe they'll stick with it for future seasons.
On a final note, I've noticed that Dave, you've not been on this site for a few days, which is most unlike you mate.
So Dave, if you're reading this, I hope you and your family are keeping well and that you start posting again soon because you are the life and soul on this site mate. 👍.

I was wondering if the players would still be insured if they caught COVID 19 during these training sessions, and ended up in hospital or worse.

Would or could the insurance companies turn down any claims since we are still in lockdown.

Just a thought.

{Ed002's Note - Without knowing the provisions I don't know. But I suspect if the players are effectively forced in to playing whilst COVID-19 is still prevalent the insurance would be invalid and that liability from elsewhere would need to be estastablished - this is very much a question on the minds of clubs and the Premier League.}

I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I read that the Arsenal players will be training individually, having a pitch and ball each. It would seem a sensible approach to getting started again.

It has just been announced over here that the French football season has been canceled.

A sensible decision by the French FA Mark as nobody really knows when all this will end. Obviously the money men over there are not as avaricious as over here where the £ is worth more than the human cost.

I agree, it should be renamed the league of greed. I must admit I would like to see football cancelled right across Europe Moose, but having said that if it must be continued the club must give it everything to try and keep its Premier league status mate, and if other clubs have started training again, then my feeling is we should be doing the same.

{Ed002's Note - They are not training again, just making the facilities available for players to use under strict conditions if they so wish.}

Agreed lads, the French have grown a pair, and fair play to them.
Tough decisions have to be made, pussy footing about only causes prolonged disappointment.
Like you say Moose its the money every time.
Lets get real, it needs to be done.

Ok Ed002, thanks for that, do you happen to know if certain club’s players are doing so? I was under the impression that the Arsenal and West Ham players are.

{Ed002's Note - Some players are making use of the facilities at the Brighton, Arsenal and WHU training facilities - Chelsea has made Stamford Brifdge availalble to a few players who live locally to use safely for a number of weeks - I know of two players who have been using it but there may be more.}

Thanks for that info Ed. 👍.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}
