As the gloom is lifting a little after my second pint, just thinking, how about as we have a free hit to try something different (as we are not likely to win ) . Out go Freddie Hause Elghazi Luiz, play Drinkwater Elmo Hourihane Trezeguet. Can't do any worse than today can it, if they then play ok irrespective of the result, it may be a better plan reverting to four at the back and we don't risk league points trying it out.

That is partly the reason I have been suggesting a change in formation and personnel Scotty.
We have nothing to lose mate, in all honesty you could have put the under 23s out today and would have got a better end result IMO.
Too many people are afraid to take chances in team selection, why I don`t know.
I bet you any money, when Deano was on the terraces, he was shouting the same odds as us, strange is it not.

Dave what's the cliche " desperate times desperate measures" with you mate.
I know you have grandson's like me, my two are really looking forward to their day out on Sunday, they don't get as depressed as their grandad if we lose. Let's just hope we at least put up a fight unlike today, winning is not always possible but pride should always be achievable no matter the outcome.

It’s always difficult to comment when not having seen the game but one thing did occur to me. Next weekends final is probably as good as it’s going to get in the careers of the majority of this side. They are not going to want to miss out on that, so could it be that some of the team were thinking more of next weekend than the job in hand?

Personally I don`t see it as desperation Scotty, I see it as developing a team, a bit of this and a bit of that usually produces a better finished product.
Someone needs to grow a pair and mix it up a bit.

I feel for you guys Scotty, you deserve so much better. Seems to me the likes of you guys care a lot more for the club than this current crop of players do.
