Don't you feel sorry for top professional footballers, they train in the morning for few hours and then they work for a few hours on a Saturday and occasionally the odd few hours in the evening. They get a few weeks off in the summer. Now they get a week off in the sun with their mates because they have had a tough couple of months since the start of August. During this arduous period in their short career they make enough money to retire in their thirties as multi millionaires. And what do they give back for this difficult job they have, they heap frustration, anger, etc on the poor fans that give them this wealth, if I sound bitter you bet I am. The rest of us now have to work in to our late sixties. Oh well That's life!

Love it Scotty, great analogy mate and very true.
It peeves me as well, my wife keeps telling me to calm down when I am ranting about players.
When you are earning anything upwards of £30,000 a week, and can`t pass the ball 20 feet to a team mate, beggars belief.
Players taking free kicks and corners, yet can`t lift the ball over first man, amazing.
Whats happened to black boots with a couple of white stripes on the side, for some reason they seem to think wearing red or pink boots makes them better players.
If we had worn boots like that back in the 70s at Billesley Common we would have been stripped naked.
Enough said I think mate, totally agree.

Dave really spooky, I played on billesley common in the seventies, it's a good job I can remember that fact, after heading them wet leather balls.

Core blimey, that used to thud right through you Scotty, it used to shake your teeth mate.
It was really bitter up there on a Sunday morning after a night on the lash, purple legs and to top it off, a free kick right in the nuts.
Found it hard to stand up straight at the bar Sunday lunch time after that.
Happy days mate, happy days.

We went straight in to billesley afterwards, took the aches and pains away until Monday morning when I couldn't move. As you say happy days.
