I will be very disappointed as I am sure others will be, if we do not sign at least one attacking player today.
It was made clear to us at the beginning of the season that the plan was additions would be made to the squad if it was deemed necessary.
I am sure we all agree it is necessary.
Although I have great faith in everyone at VP, I am concerned that if no one is brought in, we are playing a very risky and dangerous game.

It's difficult not to be disappointed given the lack of options up front and as you've highlighted the comment from Dean "we've got January window if we need to strengthen".
Samatta will need time and help.

Nothing mate, he is a brand name like M&S, and gets paid for for the name.
I think they have also done a u-turn because Davis is back, and the recent run of results.
If that is the case, naivety springs to mind.

It's quite possible the win against Leicester has lulled them into a false sense of security. Admittedly they played well and Davis' showing was encouraging but another injury and we will be more or less in the same positional before.
It's very disappointing that they didn't go in for Bowen, especially at the price he was available for. There's a player that I'm sure would have made a significant difference. Now it looks like he'll be doing that for West Ham, fellow relegation candidates!
I understand that we are sailing close to the wind as far as FFP is concerned, but can't help thinking that any fine we might receive for exceeding the limits would be a much lighter hit financially than going down.

Yeah, I think your right about the fine Mark.
I think the same as you about Bowen, he could bite us very hard on the bum come May 17th.
I have read Bournmouth are now sniffing around Bowen, we are definitely missing a trick there.

Whether it's Bournemouth or West Ham Dave, he will most likely make the difference and keep them up. Let's just hope that it's not at our expense.

It certainly appears like the urgency to bring players in has receded.
Bowen would be a very good acquisition however we may not have the funds to pursue him.
Pressure will build quickly for poor Samatta. I'm backing the lad to do well but we really could do with genuine backup.
