I don`t think some on here actually realise how good Samatta is.
We have not bought a donkey here, we have a seriously good player.
This guy heads the ball better than anyone I have seen since Andy Gray, he works the entire final third of the pitch, has two feet, and pace.
He would be great working of a good target man.
For the price we have paid, he could be a real bargain.
I would love him to hit the ground running, if he does, I am sure he will become a real favourite with the fans.
Watch him training, he runs up hills like most people run on the flat.

Fingers crossed you're right on that one. I think the nagging question in a lot of people's minds is 'why hasn't anyone else gone in for him until now'? That said, I'm pretty sure he'll benefit from a positive and supportive Villa Park atmosphere so let's hope fans get behind him and don't lose patience if his fist touch isn't a volley in the top bin.

They did DJC, but Newcastle and Norwich were too far from Zimbabwe, also he wanted to be playing in the premiership next season. 🤞.

Don’t really remember seeing this Samatta against Liverpool so thought I’d go an check it out on YouTube, he didn’t really do much to point to him being a quality player other than a powerful header which was more about the ball being drilled at him rather than him displaying great header technique.
What is funny though, YouTube usually makes poor/ average players look good/ great but the YouTube vids I’ve come across seem to make this Samatta look useless lol.
He missed a boatload of one on ones and sitters in one of the vids I saw which did remind me of my beloved Emile!
It does look as tho he will play on the shoulder of opposition defences which I think we do need, we have struggled to stretch defences for years so Samatta might give us that atleast.
Another forward is still needed imo. Artum Dzyuba Could be a good option, cost effective and a tank.
