If we don`t pull something out of the hat before 5pm today it would appear we will be taking the field against City, as we did against Leicester on Wednesday.
Drinkwater may well figure but we will again be without a proven striker.

Smith all but confirmed that we won't be doing any business today, ideally you'd want a signing early in the week anyway. I'd have just bitten the bullet and begged for benteke on monday as we need 2 signings. Shame seeing as Dean said he expected a striker before the 12th.

I thought a player had to be signed before 5pm and then 48 hrs after that he was able to play.

Think Dean has given up on City game as he realises it is futile and he will save players for EFL Cup.

Looks like next week now if we find this striker.
Not very excited with the names talked about.
We really have made a big mistake not getting more firepower in summer window.
Relying on a rookie in wesley to get us the goals in first season in premiership.
Should have brought in 1 or 2 extra strikers.
But it's to late now.

Watford comes first and is every bit as important, if not more than Leicester. Looks like no forward wants to join us, can you blame them.
