I suspect it will be either Assombalonga or Benteke as the Wesley stand-in. Despite rumours in the Italian press, I also suspect Piatek may be a bridge too far, unless there is an outside chance of him also coming on loan.

If you don’t comply with FFP there is a Eufa ban from European competitions for one year which won’t affect you and a separate Premier League sanction that can be a fine and points deduction.

Typical Villa. We can't get somebody like Piatek. Piatek is way too good for Villa.
Shouldn't Villa atleast try to loan him, though? I know from what I've read that he is pretty decent, and he would actually fit into the team.
And we need atleast one striker.
Benteke isn't the player he once was. It just doesn't seem much point to try to sign him again. And wasn't he the one who didn't want to play for us in the end?
