I have been at Fulham today with my grandson's first away game (Wembley excepted) . He has enjoyed his day lovely setting and really relaxed, no trouble what so ever. Home safe and sound, so what's the problem. There were 11 Aston villa players today, who, out with their family and friends think they should be in the first team, I didn't see a single player that would be on the bench in any mid table championship side.

Think I'm wrong, well look at what happened today against a weakened Fulham side. So I hear people say we have too many games coming up why would we risk players totally agree, not one of the team today stepped up to the plate to show Deano's that they are good enough that says pick me on Wednesday. Apart from Jack and Ming's, we have the two teams that Deano refers to as cover all positions, I see two teams of average championship quality and we are destined to end the season in misery.

Wouldn't disagree with your thoughts there, I think on a simpler scale, if you knock your pipe out in training every day and you know you've played better than anyone else and it's OBVIOUS, AND STILL Deano picks someone else, after a while you have 2 choices, ask for a move or loan deal (and get refused just in case he might need you) or just do what you have to in training and wait for him to realise (as if! ) a change is needed, heard from someone there are a number of younger players who are at a level to break through but because of his stubborness and the fact he's spent big, he won't entertain any new ideas, and the fact it's time to put on your tin hat for the coming relegation battle, he won't risk younger players mistakes, so if I was a player outside of the first team, I might not go the extra mile in training anymore knowing I've got no chance of making the first team except as a guest appearance, oh yeah, and the fact some of the boys are wondering what the heck he's doing tactically! and apart from that-no worries!

Totally agree Scotty, I thought they were very poor again.
Taylor my goodness, I am saying no more on him.

Dave anyone who went yesterday, because of the fans close proximity to the pitch, would have seen magnified how poor Taylor actually is as a footballer. My views are well documented on Taylor, my point though echos 82's comments, there has to be a "footballer" in the under 23 set up that can do a better job than Taylor, if there isn't we should abandon the academy as not fit for purpose. Taylor was not on his own with their abysmal performances, I accept, however I use him as an example to our recruitment, player development and poor team selection.

Yesterday highlighted to me just how poor a lot of our squad are. Most fans who went by train and tube yesterday would have expended more energy walking from the tube to the ground than the players. I can't make Wednesday cup game and am holding off purchasing the home leg till Thursday till I know the outcome of the first leg. I would never have done this in the past, however I am so disillusioned with a lot of what's going on both on and off the field at the moment.

That is a very good point 82, and well put.
