My reaction to the game yesturday. I think we played well in patches but was no where near the level I know we can play at also mings needs dropping I thought he was rubbish again. Chelsea had far to much time on the ball for my likening we never closed down or got near them. Wesley again awful didn't make any runs did have any real shots again it really is like playing with 10 men. The fans were great again and fairplay to tammy not celebrating. With southampton wining we need points sharpish all in all tho nobody expected to win there what I did want was the same fight as the Man Utd game.

Chelsea was just the better team yesterday. Tammy and Willian destroyed us. Wesley needs to hold the ball up much more than he is but will improve he needs a break out the team but we've got no one to come in. I think we battled hard and few decisions we did not get but you expect that been away from home. Luiz should of started his composure was there for all to see on the ball and we lacked that throughout the team besides Grealish when under serve pressure. I think that's why hourihane misses out on big games. Heaton stopped it from been embarrassing. Mings definitely should not be dropped but Terry needs to tell him to sort out the silly Sunday league errors he is making. We have almost played all the top teams away from home and not in the bottom 3 and we played really well in most away games showing we can compete at this level so i'm not saying its going to be easy but we will have games coming where i think we can get results from starting at Leicester at home. UTV.

No team in the premier league should start any game without a credible goal scorer, If Wes carries on leading the line and gets to about 5 goals for the season we will be relegated. Deano you have got to hold your hands up and admit privately that you got it wrong spending £22 million on a duffer. The new guy needs to be in place the minute the January window open or you may be looking for a new employer come May.

Wesley has 4 goals at the minute, so you think he’ll get one between now and the end of the season Scott?

Also don’t be so naive re transfers, there’s a lot more people than Dean Smith who will be making decisions on transfers, that will have no effect on his job, which by recent events has been been renewed. The club has said publicly through the media team that January is not expected to be a busy month, smoke and mirrors maybe but don’t get your hopes up.

We spent a lot in the summer and fortunately we don’t have idiots in charge any more, they understand the potential repercussions of over spending.

Good point Tindy, re games played. All the top teams away from home baring Liverpool and we’re in 15th, one win away from 11th.

Mings made some vital interceptions and blocks last night which kept us in it, but he does need to cut out the lapses of concentration.

We spent a lot as you say and patently it hasn't worked as we all would have liked. We can't continue with what we have up front, so if we don't invest in January I really can't see things improving. Spend wisely totaly agree, spend thriftily and reap the consequences.

what we’re you expectations for this season Scott?

Chris, I thought we would be more creative up front, having followed deano's style of play with average players at Brentford. I thought (hoped) after spending well in excess of £100 mill we would be middle table with exciting football. Naive maybe but I think things should be better with the players we have and the money spent.
