To Villa dave and Chris who keep telling me I have no faith and no clue what I'm talking about, that's your view and I respect that, but ask yourself how good we would be if both grealish and mcginn were both not playing? do you think deano has a plan but for that? -and ask yourself this, deano has got his tactics wrong on more than 1 occasion so far, if that had been Steve Bruce making those cock-ups, would you be so forgiving? somehow I doubt it, so yes, fingers crossed deano gets a system that clicks, but so far, all I've seen is a team making big efforts against the top teams, and being half-baked against the rest-no grealish or mcginn and we're in big trouble, or don't tell me, trezeguet and Wesley all of a sudden will click and all our worries will disappear, double training sessions and some hard choices have to be made now, before its too late.

You should take the managers job, you clearly know so much and can tell above anyone else where managers are going wrong and what the right or wrong tactics are. I’m astounded your not in a job already. Double training sessions as well, so the physical side of things your the oracle on as well? You really are the full package mate, how on earth are you on a forum and not the dig out. I can’t work it out.

Worth noting you’ve posted once since the wolves game, so how can we “keep” telling you, unless of course you have forgot to change accounts.

Oh dear Chris, are you related to deano or something? -if you think all is rosy for us and any game now it will all click then fair play to you, I'll stick to watching and wondering how we're going to turn it around without reading the riot act and making some serious changes, but CLEARLY YOU know better, please enlighten me as to your theory of changing things WITHOUT doing anything major? -after you Yoda!

Clasof82, you are wasting your time applying common sense and logic with some on here. These are the same people who wanted to stand by Bruce. If people analyse what you have said it is not said with malice just in my opinion obvious observations, if something is not done to change things then we are in difficult waters. Claret and blue tinted glasses are not enough to improve things. We have played, top teams, good teams and average sides and we have not ever looked really comfortable against any of them. So if Wes Trez Elghazi Taylor Targett, who who are more than a third of team, and based on their overall performances so far this season, we are going to have a long hard slog till May.

I’m not the one claiming to know everything, unlike you, I’m dimpled baffled by how you have all this knowledge yet aren’t working in football.

I’ll address you together as who knows what account you will reply from, but your ignorance and arrogance really have no limit.

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. ”

You slated Smith last season then he got us promoted, you have absolutely destroyed players on here (as Dave mentioned) . Westwood - no premier league regular, Veretout - champions league, Gueye - prem then champions league, even down to Ayew, who if you look back you was happy to swap for Taylor at the time. You do not learn, now you slate good honest lads who are clearly struggling but you’ve wrote them off after 13/ 14 games in the first premier league season. You talk absolute garbage and multiple people have told you this.

You clearly have no desire to learn from your mistakes, so from here on out we’ll stay out of any debate. Hopefully one day we can all understand to the level you do, modern football.

I'm intrigued by the bickering on here on our present state.
My view is that we have being unlucky with var going against us but I'm not blaming that for where we are in table.
Every team in premiership has been done with var so its swings and roundabouts for me.
Against the wolves who don't forget played 3 days earlier in Europe they looked fitter/ quicker/ and more to the point they wanted it more
I was gutted to see us played off the park in a derby.
On another day they could have scored 4 -5- 6 goals passed us.
And I don't go with the theory of some fans who thinks grealish would have made us better on day.
The atitude of players was disgraceful for a derby or any game.
Why do we need Jack to motivate us?
Is it not in every players makeup to motivate themselves.
I'm worried about wesley he looks a busted flush and needs to step up very quickly to impress me.
But I'm also worried now about the tactically awarewareness of our manager.
I like Smith but he needs to look at himself as well as some of the players.
But all is not lost yet and we need to all man up in coaching and players camps.

Summed in a nutshell Bob, ironic that Chris defines insanity, that's exactly what's happening with team selection and tactics.

12 Nov 2019 20:21:45
I agree with Mainbob and scotcaffu, and as for the insanity definition-you said it Chris! -the bottom line is we need to mix it up somehow or the outlook may not be what we hope, so I actually DO hope the gaffer gets it right but all I'm saying is playing open football is sometimes more counter productive in the premier league, if your not willing to change then the results speak for themselves.

13 Nov 2019 20:46:42
The insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results argument doesn't really fit.
Like with any job the team needs to practice and perfect the system. A lot of these players have not played together in this system before. It takes time to perfect the process to a point where everyone is doing the right thing in the right place at the right time.
A bad day at the office against Wolves does not mean we have been terrible every game. To say it obviously isn't working when we spanked Norwich and comfortably beat Everton and Brighton with that exact system doesn't add up.

14 Nov 2019 09:50:18
The result against wolves was not what worried me.
It was simply wolves wanted it more.
We looked like statues in first half and that was embarrassing to see from a villa team.
No guts and desire was totally unacceptable for me in any game not just a derby.
We as a club and players and coaching staff all need to man up.

17 Nov 2019 10:19:33
have to look at facts wolves are a team that finished 7th last season so was never going to be the easy game we had it down as they madeus look league 1 in every department and second rate in management we are miles away from where they are and rumours have it jack wants out already things ain't looking good!
