anyone seen the link in the papers between Crystal palace and Super jack to replace zaha - they have got 2 chances a dogs chance and no chance.

I live in the south and this story has a lot going for it locally.
Another story is that the deal is almost done that if we don't get promoted then Jack will be in white next year.
I have told my Spuds mates that he is too good for them.
They tell me that he's not worth £20m.

Many Spuds fans have car reg N17. see if you spot one.

{Ed001's Note - Pochettino would love to sign Grealish. The only thing that has stopped it happening is that Levy would never agree the asking price or payment terms.}

Spurs yes if Villa are in championship - Palace no chance.

I think we need a reality check here regarding the up coming season. if you take away the dreadful start 10 points from 11 games and the poor February (combined we got 12 points from 16 games = .75 points per game) . and we got 62 points from 46 games.

take away the 16 games and 12 points from the 46 games and 62 points then we have 30 games got us 50 points = 1.7 points per game. now ad that average into the total season 16 x 1.7 = additional 27 points which would have given us 77 points and that would have put us 7th.

yes we have to improve on last year but we are not far off who knows how many additional points we would have picked up without these 2 periods of low confidence. yes we need to sort out quickly the keeper situation. assuming JT comes the defense is sorted.

we need cover for Jedinak. and a creative player on the left (Jack Grealish not consistent enough and runs into too many blind alleys. be optimistic not pessimistic we are in a much better place than 12 months ago.

I agree mate we was great at home and to be honest it was nice to win at home again that hasn't happend for about 10 years so welldone Bruce. But we need to win away and this is where Strve Bruces tactics let us down he plays the same way as at home where away i belive we should be more counter attack. Iam looking forward to this season but it will be a lot harder than last year. Fulham Reading Leeds not to mention boro an sunderland are all going to be going for automatic this what i said many times Brighton and Newcastle hardly lost a game we have to be like that and that means wining every week no excuses. Great post mate.

Sunday I think will be tighter than people think due to the fact that we cannot score without Kodjia, but predict Birmingham will not finish with 11 men and Villa to scrape a result 1-0.

looking forward to summer deadwood sale - Bunn, Kozac, Richards, Flabby Gabby, Gardner, Tisbola, Sanchez, McKormac, Vertout, Gil. Amavi. should raise £15 million. who should SB get in? assuming he keeps the rest of the squad including the kids, i think we need a centre half, left back, back up defensive midfielder, Keeper, wide right / winger.

Apart from gardner every one else on that list is spot on. let's get rid of the lot of them. also agree with what we need coming in. for far to long we have held on to players who don't deserve to wear the shirt.

2.) 20 Apr 2017 22:43:07
You got some figures behind that mate? We signed Veretout for 12 million, and he's had a stormer of a season in the French league, shouldn't be making a loss on him.

Gil in today's market is about 10 mil surely, what with having a decent season for deportivo. Sell 12 players and bring in 5, leaves us ridiculously short when injuries come (look at the injury list from January / Christmas) and then a transfer window like that leaves the team not knowing where they stand with wholesale changes not what we need again. 3 or 4 will do fine, quality additions who Bruce wants early in the window so a full preseason, sell a few who won't be involved at all as Bruce sees fit.

Next season is one of the biggest in the clubs history in my eyes, last season we can flex our muscles in the transfer windows before FFP really starts to play a role in our dealings, should we fail to go up next year I can't see it happening for another 4-5 seasons. We get one chance at it, we can't afford to feck it up in the summer at the first hurdle!

3.) 21 Apr 2017 13:18:40
Agree with what you said about next season chris, ffp and the need to put it all together in our push to go up. As you say we can, t afford to cock it up. Like yourself mate just want the best for our great club, I thought when we went down that it would take us three to four years to get back where we belong. Hoping of course that we would do it in two or three, Its such a tough league to get out of. Next season is so critical .

What happened to guilbert.

mort13

1.) 12 Aug 2019 17:44:24
Mort apparently he was surplus to requirment same as Hause and Marvelous,

2.) 13 Aug 2019 14:44:01
Tactical it seems. Marauding full backs didn't fit the gameplan and Konsa could fill all except left back. Reports are the language link for Elmo and Trez was important.
Trez, Wesley and Marvelous are likely to be struggling with their English early doors so any connections on the pitch are doubly important.
Also, do we know Marvelous definitely got his permit? Didn't seem to be anything in the news like Douglas Luiz's.

So guys and gals who in your opinion is the most important new signing?
Mings for me.

mort13

1.) 24 Jul 2019 10:25:23
Hard to say before we’ve seen them, if Wesley is Big Ben 2.0 then you’d have to say him, if Mings carries on the form from last season and we’re solid at the back you’d say him. Probably between them two for me though.

Got players in - now ship out the no hopers -Tshbola, Lansbury, Hogan, Thor, Bree.
Green needs another season on loan - no where near good enough for Premier, he struggled last season in the Championship. still 2 players needed foe me - defensive midfielder and another forward.

Konsa looks a good buy could also play as defensive midfielder, as well as anywhere across the back line.

No, No and No he is only interested in himself and money - even Darren Anderton was fitter than him and he was known as sick note anderton.

DAVEDEAN - because he is rubbish, if he plays as much for them as he has for us he will restrict their scoring rate - what is he goals per game ratio?
