I was talking to a bloke today in work we were talking about betting and gambling he asked me did I ever here of a player called Gabriel agbonglor (sorry for spelling ) he was saying his ex girlfriend used to work in paddy powers and gabby used to put in £10000 on a daily basis playing poker online he wouldn't have known I support villa nor does he have any interest in football this was back in 2010 they must have some amount of money to blow.

Yea mate sounds like BS, they don't give that sort of information out willy nilly, especially for a high profile customer spending those sorts of figures. When you sign up to those websites and agree to the terms and conditions within the privacy detail there are parts that protect you and your identity as a customer, and even if she were to be high enough to get that info (doubtful), telling someone whose then just letting people who he doesn't know that well know, it doesn't bode well for her job or their relationship lol. Unfortunately because of all that it has to be fake.

Ed he said in his post he was always betting on poker, so he wouldn't have broken any rules, but still BS I think, wouldn't surprise me if he was spending that much on gambling and similar things. I just don't think it would be found outthe way it was described. Plus paddy power is a joke, their servers rarely let you on at peak times lol, if he had any sense he'd be on William hill vegas, then again it is Gabby so sense doesn't come into the question.

I'm not say it's true or false it's just what I heard if it's true it's crazy money to be gambling but then it's just peanuts to footballers now a days, but if he can afford to do it all I'll say is fair play to him, I am aware that his ex girlfriend would have been breaking all sorts of rules,

Why are we standing still in this window 5 days in and nobody in yet surely we must have back up plans if we can't get in the players we want
I think the first signing will idicate what road we take if we are planing for the championship or not
Players I wouldn't mind seeing going
Guzan (butter fingers)
Hutton (can't defend or cross a ball
Westwood (highly overated)
Richardson (well past it)
Charles (stealing a living as footballer)
Gabby (at best a championship player)
I think we would only manage to between 8-10 million for these 6 players that will give you an idea of why our club is where it is to sell 6 players and only manage to get that it's a joke.

It's going to be a tough window because getting anybody to come to use will be a struggle even for the half decent players down in the championship that are in the top 10 wouldn't to come in because they will beleave that they can get promoted themselves and play at least a full season in the prem, not just 4 months if we gO down
I don't think Austin will come and I can't remy either Norwich will out bid us for naismith
I would love a centre half like Wes morgan not much gets past him
And Kante from Leicester he covers every blade of grass
If we have to get rid of gabby and inzogbia to free up funds I don't think there will be much in the kitty.

I want so hard to believe that this team with a new goal keeper can turn it round. They are not a bad squad. Watched villa v Norwich. Villa have two or three shots on target early on. Great start. Norwich have one shot on target and score. I am no tactician, but while I'm sure Brad is a top bloke he is a catastrophe in goal. I'm really sorry for saying this, but my 8 year old son Joshua would be a better option. Will someone please tell me he is going to be replaced and with who.

Maybe with Lovre Kalinić from Hajduk Split, who I believe will cost in the region of £2-3 million. Not many goalkeepers want to come to the Club these days, so Kalinić may be the best and cheapest option right now.

I have just been reading that Tom fox meet with avst during the weekend and told them to expect a new chairman in the comeing weeks he didn't say if we would be sold or not, I'm not to sure about this has anybody else heard anything or is it just a smoke screen.

It's killing me to say this but we are going down and I don't think it will at the championship, we have a bunch of players who are only an excuse for prem players so when we do go down they will want to jump ship or just keep robbing our club of a living, we should be preparing our self's in this window coming up with good quality championship players that know there way around the league that have bit of grit and fight in them because this bunch we have are nothing not one player we have get into a top 10 team, thus isiant sherwoods lamberts fault it gone on before them do we really think we are going to get a striker with a good eye for goal I don't our transfer business was all wrong in the summer we went quantity instead quality not sherwoods fault again but the board I'm starting to think this club could end up like rangers very quick, so many clubs have tried to buy themselves out of trouble in the January window and failed and have suffered for a couple of season when they did go down I think we should be preparing for it now.

Delighted terry has signed I still think he has lots to offer yeah he might have lost a yard of 2 but has a great football brain so 9 times of 10 that makes up for his lack of pace, to be fair he was never the quickest I think we will be playing 3 at the back with Jedinak dropping in aswell I think ruddy is next in door which would be just as big a statement as terry and then we look pretty solid at the back which is something that can't be siad for a good few years now amavi will be sold I haven't heard of any roumers who is going to replace him, I'm after being reading at jonny walters I have been calling for his name for a long time now as his work rate is unbelievable he isiant the most skill full or even a house hold name but every game you know your going to get 110% out him I think with terry ruddy and Walters we have leaders and winners for me with these 3 we have a team more than capable of winning this league.

All this talk about Bruce is stupid, this chopping and changing of managers has got us where we are today all of these players aren't Bruce's I can't remember how many players we baught in last summer but only 3-4 has been a success Chester Jedinak kodjia and maybe adomha, when Bruce came in players weren't fit enough so not only were we playing catch up on the league but on our fitness levels aswell, we have 2 players that are willing to get stuck in leave a tackle in there that's hutton and Jedinak, Jedinak dosen't have the legs to go 2 games a week so that needs to be looked at, Bruce will get it right we he has proven this we very little money to spend at any club we all have fair idea of who he wants to ship on, he needs time and needs to bring in his own type of players, maybe this season was the real kick up the ass we needed we have no god given right the finish top of the league we have to work for it yeah we might have a big stadium and lots of history but we are not world beaters and some would say we are not a big club anymore at the moment we need to be getting the basics right and for me that's sticking with Bruce.

Read things before you jump to conclusions, no one has said to chop Bruce. Just questioning whether his previous successes have come from playing this awful football and whether his tactics have suited the squad he has. We need some continuity and balance but the way we have been playing has been awful and doesn't point to us been anywhere near promotion next year.

Chris I'm not saying anybody on this site is saying to sack Bruce yeah the style of play is brutal to watch which I'm sure will improve next season with the right players I think we panicked in the summer with some that we baught in but this talk about the style of play and others saying we are favourites to win the league next season annoys me as it stands we are 12th in the league with 3 going it means that there are 9 better teams than us at the moment not counting whoever drops down into the league, don't get me wrong I'm not doom and gloom yeah if we add a bit of quality o the squad and a bit of style we can win the league were not a 100 miles away.

fair enough mate, i thought you was talking about the discussion on the Rumours page. i Agree sacking bruce isn't the right move but we have one of the best squads in the league, going forward we have more quality and options than most, the football shouldn't be this bad. i admire bruce for not hiding when we put in performances like against blackburn, the way lambert used to claim we were brilliant no matter what, however more performances like that and it makes you question what happens in training.

Reading most of the posts here everybody seems to be pointing the finger at hutton how can anybody on here say amavi had a better game
Amavi was run ragged always out of position if it was true Liverpool offered £25m for we should have took the money and ran
We played to deep all night every time we lost the ball we just dropped deeper kodjia was so isolated all night 4-5-1 dosen't work unless u have midfielders running past kodjia
I think we have the squad now with hogan in that we can play an old fashioned 4-4-2
But will it be Lansbury and hourahan in beside Jedinak because after last night Jedinak will be the first name on the team sheet against forrest
Last night should have been 3 pts and I would have accepted a draw against forrest on Saturday but not nothing less than a win will do us I think I think it's 18 games left we will need to win maybe 12-14 of them

We need to be getting bodies in this week our whole midfield needs replacing.
Grealish seems to have lost interest again just throwing his hands up in air when he loses the ball instead of tracking back.
Jedinak is in the team for one reason and that's to break up play and pass forward but he can't make a 5 yrd pass.
Tishbola is in there to try get forward but is still a bit raw and makeing all the wrong runs because of the likes of grealish ayew holding on to the ball for to long
Adomha is probably to the only one that gives everything but seems to bottle it on front of goal.
I was reading that we have put a bid on guadeolia from Watford and I think he is better than what we have mobile shoots on sight and not afraid to get stuck in
Charlie adam the same, Lansbury the same these are the type we need and with this type of player other teams would be more fearfully of us and then we wouldn't have to be playing the Jedinak holding midfield.
I'm going to get hammered for this but I would try and get Walters from Stoke as well gets the odd goal can play out wide and gives 110% every game.
Personally I don't think we will make play offs now but I know under Bruce next season as squad as club we will be in a much better place we will have some sort of playing style Bruce was never going to come in and just click his fingers and get this shame that Lerner and Co left behind right in a couple of weeks have faith we will sit at the big table again and we will be prepared.

Watched the game yesterday and read all comments about the game and manager here some I agree with others I don't
Those that stupid enough calling for his head already have to realise this isn't his squad he has been playing catch due to a very bad start yeah I'm sure Dr tony will give Bruce the funds needed to build hus own squad but this can't be possible in just 1 window
Personally I would sell amavi for the 25m I just don't think he is as good as what we built him up to be I think hutton is getting a raw deal from us the fans he is twice the defender amavi is maybe not as good going forward but he was baught as a defender and he should get that right first
Jedinak legs have gone Bruce took off the wrong man last night Jedinak can not make a simple 5 yard pass
I hoped things might have worked out for gabby but he isiant offer g us anything personally I think gabby played his best football under O Neill and that was out wide in front 3 with carew and young looking last night we lack pace on the left maybe that might suite gabby or has his legs gone aswell
I taught green had done more in the 25mins he was that what bacuna did the previous 65 mins green looks quite a decant player big strong and has a bit of pace
This team won't get us up this year they don't have the bottle our top scorer is away for 4 weeks and he has only scored 9 goals I wouldn't be worrying about replacing hutton or anybody else in the back line get our midfield sorted because at the moment we don't have one and make a decision on mccormack if he isiant going to be used right in a front 2 let him out on loan or sell him and get somebody in to help kodjia because if he gets injured and out for a long period we are in big trouble because we don't have goals anywhere in the team

I would have to agree with you ziggy he lost the ball as much as he gave it away however that could be a fault of a lack of movement in front of him I would like to see him with better players around him.

Being from Ireland hendricks has impressed me a lot, I have him in heart beat to boy just gives it his all leaves everything on the pitch, we're we not linked with robbie Brady last week him and amavi getting up that left wing would be unreal, Delight to have petrov back back a good leader to have around, I want to see us go and make a statement a go for a big name not saying Messi or pogba somebody like ross mccormack to show we mean business early.

To be honest mike I was going to give up this site people on here were starting to annoy me on here wanting Bruce out after a couple of months, Bruce wasn't baught in last season to get us promoted he was baught in to stop us from going down which I think we might have done under rdm, I totally agree with everything you say Bruce needs a preseason along with his own signings because I feel Lansbury and Co haven't settled in yet when they came in, in January we were on our worst run of the season I'm a believer in new season new start for maybe 95% of the squad I feel gabby richards gardener amavi elphick and all our keepers should move on, should try get in a younger version of Jedinak I don't think he has the 2 games a week left in is legs but does a good job for the game and half until legs go, I'd like somebody with a cool head in beside Chester.
I think baker is solid just on the ball wouldn't be his strongest point wide left winger we badly need as grealish is not a wide player and green is still not proven but has a lot of potential up top I think we possibly the strongest in the league so all in all we have built a good championship team in 1 season so yeah I think Bruce and the doctor have done a good job in 1 season some people have to realise most of our signings are only going to be scraps that prem clubs don't want all season people on here wanted hutton out of the team for me he was in my top 3 players kodjia Chester hutton Jedinak

Totally agree it was a great squad team full of pros with the odd youngster thrown in, I have to say the complete blame has to lie at learners hands o neill was building something and learner just sold barry and Co yeah o neill spent a lot off money and paid high wages on some older players but that what we need to do to break into them champions league positions flackie I know your Taughts on o neill but he did build that squad and he did get some average players playing good football, young or downing has barely kicked a ball since they left us
Well I think we have hit bottom and we are slowly climbing let's hope we keep climbing this time until we reach the peek.
