Nice to see Tony cascarino hitting the nail on the head on talksport at the weekend, I think he was being very generous saying mings would have an average season! -in the premiership he's going to cost us penalties and get more than his fair share of red cards - get no joy saying it but it doesn't make it any the less untrue!

Classof82 you are baffling. Everybody has their own opinion, but yours is so very negative . You I can honestly say, are the only person, Iv heard with anything negative to say about Mings .

Davedean-mings was top draw in the championship for us for sure, but the premiership isn't the same (which you know already for sure), I hope he's a screaming success for us, but just going on what I saw last season, and speaking to a few Bournemouth fans, they all agree, he's prone to a major ricket or 2 when under pressure, and his injuries they said were down to over exuberance, I'm hoping under j. t. he'll florish, but all the signs are there, if I'm wrong, happy days, but expressing an opinion is what I thought this site was for, if we sign sturridge (please God no), does that mean I've to sing his praises even though I thing he's pony and looking for 1 final big pay day?

You couldn’t make this 💩up . I’m flabbergasted

Since Mings arrived we went on a record breaking run winning 10 on the bounce in what it the most competitive league in European football maybe even world football .

Mings had one red card in that time .

Mings like everyone in our defence may be under a lot more pressure in the premiership due to the way we play as a team playing out from the back.

Bournemouth fans can’t really judge a man that had played less than 20odd games in 2 years can they? He played almost that many in 4 months for us .

Let us not forget that it takes any player some time to get up to speed after injury .

As for Tony Cascarino spouting off about Mings qualities wow I’m amazed the bloke get paid for his opinions . Bang average football player and his career afterwards is nothing more than a side show pundit .

We as a team will get battered on occasions this coming season due to the way we play and also lack of premiership experience . However we have a blueprint and playing style on how we plan to play moving forward .

Leave the pundits and critics to their opinions and back the team and coaches.

Kenn, it's pretty obvious to me that average players who are then morphed in to average journalist can only make headlines by making crass and ill informed comments. Like many others I watched pretty much every minute of Ming's performances last season so I would like to think I have a more balanced view on his abilities. Not withstanding his playing performances he brought something more interms of his connection with both players and fans alike. He may have some shortcomings in the premier league however, give me Ming's over Jones, Stones, Luis, Smalling. I am looking forward to the challenges this coming season knowing that it's not going to be easy, however after the great day at Wembley I am going to be patient for sometime.

Well said, Dave .
We all know it’s going to be hard, for all our players . But at least wait and see . As Villa82 said, Mings is enthusiastic, but I can’t see Deano and JT, letting him get to carried away .
