Press today reporting that 'Aston Villa are confident they can beat Arsenal and Manchester United to the signing of Crystal Palace's 22-year-old French winger Michael Olise'. I personally would imagine he'd be inclined to stay in London if the Gunners offer him similar terms although it may depend on how much playing time he thinks he'll get ?

I think this is yet another example of lazy journalism in the run up to the opening of the transfer window. With Diaby, Bailey and Rogers who already play out wide why would we be interested in Olise? And even if we were and he was looking for game time why on earth would he sign for us? Would he be likely to get more game time with us than Man Utd? I don’t think so. I like Olise, I wanted us to sign him when he was with Reading but we didn’t and our priorities now lie elsewhere in my opinion.
