It seems Leicester City may be elbowing in on robbie brady and willing to pay more than us, seems bruce needs to work the 'magic waffle' routine, but just out of interest, seems that the canaries may be in a bit of trouble, if they don't make it back to the top table this year.

why not make a cheeky bid for alex pritchard, reminds me of a wasp, buzzing around, sees a pass, and not afraid to have a shot on goal either, and one question for you fellas.

i always thought bruce liked playing quick, counter-attack football. agreed, hasn't got the personnel now, and maybe not fully till the summer, but is jordan rhodes a speed merchant? not too sure on that one and still hearing that ross mccormack not clicking with how bruce perceives his role to be.

maybe a slow burner but still being told shane long is an option to come on loan with a view to buying if promoted, but two problems - charlie austin and his damaged shoulder again, and secondly, two premier league clubs now looking at him too.

looks like an interesting couple of weeks ahead.

This post started off so promising, a bit of truth with brady and Leicester, a bit of personal opinion with Pritchard and Norwich, a bit of analysis of how we could play and thennnnnn you had to ruin it claiming to be ITK.

ChrisAVFC, Easy tiger, i didn't say i was 'ITK', all i have said is steve bruce has always liked shane long, a few southampton fans i speak to said he was unhappy with how his manager is using him and the rumour was he was cheesed off and open to suggestion.

i think as a super-sub and playing him on the wing, and how rodriquez is now ahead in the pecking order, their fans see he's unhappy and if you rate yourself and charlie (the speed merchant-not) austin is ahead of you as well, then you know your on a sticky wicket.

the fact two premiership clubs are also sniffing around says to me his agent has let it be known his client is examining his options. couple that with the fact bruce knows the player, and his attributes are the ones bruce would like, i just think it makes sense.

as for the mccormack comment, that is common knowledge that he ain't clicking and the way bruce plays doesn't play to his strengths. a few clubs are also sniffing around him this window. all i'm saying is, if he stays, great, but will he be there after this season, i believe not.

and the norwich point about their finances, well, that's published and tells a story of being front-loaded, and working on them being promoted this season. if not, then austerity is winking at them. ed balls and moxey strike again - look at the numbers if you don't believe me, and by the way, it could have been worse, i could have said hernandez is also a plan 'z' option!

come on, don't back track now, if you meant all that then why didn't you write it like that. You wrote "im still being told Shane long is an option" now you've said it was Southampton fans telling you, why would you even entertain the idea that a standard fan like you and I of another team knows more about players we are interested in than we do? In that case surely if I say to a baggies fan their interested in Kodja, he can then use that as a reliable source? Come on mate. What you wrote about McCormack was "still hearing" implying people are coming and telling you, it's everywhere in the paper, if you don't want to imply your ITK maybe something like "still being reported" or "still seeing that" would be a better.

Bit harsh chris, let's not start animosities again, people don't always word things that we can all understand, me included, there has to be a bit of common sense on here.
I have heard similar, from a Liverpool fan, My son in law.

Just read it back don't mean to sound so harsh but for the record I largely agree with what you said, Pritchard would be a good buy, Leicester have been reported looking at brady and I would like to see counter attacking aswell. However there is no doubt you wrote loads of it as though you were ITK and had sources, which does get annoying sometimes.

chrisAVFC, as for the McCormack rumour, i mentioned about him not gelling shortly after he arrived in the summer, and got slated on here properly for it, that was from a mate of someone who had been let go by us in the cost-cutting debacle.

i still sometimes have a nut up with them so that point i made hasn't changed since then, as for shane long, he has been underused since towards the end of koeman's time and hardly at all with the new french feller,

as with quiet a few of the senior players there, their seeing the club change manager almost every two years, players joining, and then leaving if they have a corker of a season, becoming a selling club, and with the new manager the whole process of proving themselves again and again.

i got told that long wasn't impressed with how the new manager was using him but being professional he just knuckled down, obviously his agent wants him playing for ireland and playing week in and out, i guess to maybe have a chance of one final big 'move', that's what i was told.

so yes they're bloggers, and you could say what do they know, and as for saying i have a mate or two who blog here, and over the pond, that i have mentioned on here months and months ago, so in one sense your right, i'm not hearing it right from the horses' mouth, but sometimes if agents want their player to move on, journo's and bloggers can do the dirty work for them saving any prosecution or calls for censures from the parent club playing the game, agent style.

so apologies if i made you believe i was best mates with his agent or family, i just relayed what i'd been told a while back, it will probably come to nothing but bruce did say he wouldn't mind the possibility of a reunion with long, just the same as maybe four or five other names on a list he compiled.

what can i say except guilty as charged for hearing it second or third hand, but that doesn't mean its wrong, just maybe people add a bit extra so by the time we hear it its gone a bit sideways, and that's why we love a RUMOUR or a WHISPER, no matter how half-baked it sounds!

Don't explain yourself mate, as I said I agree with majority of what you said, just some of it sounded a bit dodgey.

EH? I just said I agree with the majority but I thought some of it was trying to imply he was in the know. What planet are you on?
