Alan Nixon has just tweeted about how Hutton is close to a move to Sheff Wednesday, this is a bit weird for me. At the end of last season for a good 10-15 games he was first on the team sheet, people said he was playing out his skin for the contract extension (which he got), however if that is true or not, he was playing brilliant. We have 6 recognised right backs;

Hutton - first team last season, effort, passion and desire above anyone else, brilliant outlet down the right, positionally dodgey sometimes and final ball not always perfect (but no worse than adomahs)
Bree - lots of potential, has looked brilliant in games, but also got ripped to shreds by a 16 year old midget at Fulham last year.

De Laet - looked good before his injury, but could be 3-6 months before his completely back same way amavi was.
Richards - probably needs to go now just for the wages, not a good enough centre back and we don't need right backs.
Bacuna - more of a midfielder
Elmo - right midfielder/ wing back, probably too attacking to play out and out right back.

So from that I'd be looking to move on de Laet because we haven't got time to wait around for players and see if they can return to what they was, an then Richards.

Keep Hutton for when we play 4 at the back (which we'll have to on the first game because bakers suspended) and use bree as back up and let them push each other. And then have Elmo for the right mid or when we play wing backs. Keep bacuna in the middle.
I think selling Hutton would be a stupid decision, hope we don't.

I agree mate. Only player who constantly shows passion. Always an out for the ball.

I really don't understand the people that constantly slag him, he isn't that bad, only thing that is a huge negative is his caught out of position, but if he goes on a run and gets the ball out, it's down to other player to have the intelligence to cover the space he's left.

I'd say it's a wages thing. Hutton is probably still on premier league wages.

Elmo pushing AA for the right wing and keeping bree, Hutton and RDL makes sense, give RDL time to recover and if he isn't close come Xmas look to move him in then. The strength in depth is there, the 19/ 20 plus youth all depends on what we are classic as youth players freakish should be senior now and that then means we may be selling RDL/ Hutton/ Richards if we get the right offer.

Agree with everyone about Hutton,
He has not let us down,
Defence wise not the greatest but always gives 100%,
Must be down to his high wages I reckan.
