Any of you been hearing about our lovable chairman, seems his trips to bodymoor weren't just a quick drop by, but he has taken to chatting to players and extolling his vast knowledge of football to them. quoting his chat with 'jack' and how he's like a big brother to them, encouraging them and saying how he thinks they might improve their game in general terms.

i might be old fashioned but i thought that was the manager's job. no wonder rdm never smiled and the players seemed confused and off their game at times. if you're a player and the manager tells you one thing, then the owner opens his trap as well, who do you pay most heed too?

the more that comes to light, the more i think rdm had no hope with dr. know. it. all. spouting off, that can't be changed now unfortunately, but if old dr control freak carries on, what manager (especially old school who believe in that 70's way called 'demarcation') is going to put up with that? i think its a case of out of the frying pan into the fire. he's turning into a bit of a loon!

Come on mate. If RDM had anything about him he'd say to the players " whatever Tony says, just nod politely and ignore every word"
I'm pretty sure that's what someone like Bruce would do
If RDM wasn't able to do that, he wasn't right for the job.

I think that's a bit far fetched to be honest mate.

OMG classof82 you trying to own this site 😝. If the passionate Dr T wants to try and challenge the players to work harder and show commitment and drive for the club he brought and for all the fans hard done by for yr after yr he is probably only trying to encourage them lift them showing hard work pays off, It's his to do what he wants, I cannot see him interfereing with training tactics match day squad who plays or not, He has shown honesty and liases with us fans daily would you see owners Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool etc etc openly ask fans for suggestions on how to take club forward (NO) he is young passionate and his heart and soul runs claret n blue sometimes he might come across too much interference but he only wants the best, RDM had no clue at tactics and cost us so many games making ridiculous choices and I agree Steve Clarke nowhere to be seen apart from mouth shut say in dug out but we don't know maybe RDM made it clear he no 1 simple, I am worried if he gets the nod for the time being but the lads need confidence boost yet again I hate to say this as no doubt Big Sam won't be employed for a while if at all only manager out there is Grrr Bruce to steady ship and start momentum back, But how about this Bruce interim till end of season and Giggs as second to take over fully after season over promoted or not?

Maybe youre right Mendax, it just seems when rdm got appointed he went overboard saying how he turned down x and y because rdm was 'the one', after he gives him the heave-ho its 'didn't want him in the first place'.

now he's either a really good actor or he's cunning, and maybe a bit crazy. either way, neither he nor the board have played it with a straight bat. so for me, that's a bit worrying and out of order to rdm, and us fans, or the client base as we're now classed. either way he's been a bit sneaky, so that's my take for what it's worth.

Avfcjay, i can see your fully engaged on this, if bruce can get us up, then pride across the divide and let him give it a go. like you say, he'll get them clicking and ticking, so fair play sir, no arguments here!

I think it's called sales patter mate. He's hardly going to appoint someone and then state " he's alright but not exactly what I was after; thought I'd just give him a go"
No doubt the new boss will be greeted with the sound of trumpets by Tony or any chairman to be fair. I think you are overstating your argument.

On reflection, you might just be 99.999 percent right, so we'll call it a draw!

06 Oct 2016 22:42:30
What!
Just 99.999 %?
I demand a recount.

There's always one that causes trouble!
