So if we get Kortney Hoarse who loses out. Elphick, Chessy, Taylor, Hutton. IMO huts should only ever play RB, taylors injury prone, chessy is struggling with pace when exposed. We keep getting caught out with balls over the top. Sorry to say it but chessy is the weak link.

Think Elphick alternates with Hause depending on opposition. Chester has the advantage over Elphick with positional astuteness, he has prevented more than he's caused just by being in the right place at the right time. Use Hause against pacey forwards and Elphick against bigger/ trickier ones.

I see your logic my only question would be does that create in consistency in the pairings. I just think chessy has been mediocre this season without JT alongside him. On another note why don't we recall delaet as i'm sure he's better at RB than both huts and elmo.

It's a risk I admit but think Chester only looks as bad as he does because he was the best player in the league last season. Elphick has looked good for Hull because there is a lot more defensive support than he'd get for us. Think he'd get found out against the counter attacks like he did previously for us.
I personally would leave De Laet, think Hutton is better at forward runs and winning fouls and Elmo's crossing is marginally better. Haven't seen Ritchie really do enough in anything other than the odd pre-season game to say he's a step up.

I think teams have sussed out that we are dodgy against balls in behind as they all seem to be doing it to us. Maybe we need someone in mid park who can stifle that route. We are great in that area going forward but I think that is where we are getting exposed. Full Backs caught upfield and lack of pace in central defence and bang we're in trouble.
