That's 2 experimental deviations from the system in a row and neither have worked. I'm really surprised Emery is taking these risks at this stage.
We tried 2 up top with Ings and now we've tried it with Duran. It just doesn't work for us. The midfield really struggle when they miss that 3rd player dropping in to receive the ball and to do it when we're already missing 2 of our better midfielders is confusing.
Fair play to Zaniolo, the whole game our attacking players kept going to the far post and he bucked that trend to equalise and nearly win it.
I don't believe how the most obvious of the 3 handball wasn't given though, how is Emerson's arm in a natural position all the way out there?

RK as you know I have questioned some of Emery's selections recently, some of which have cost us, why he can't see what you and me do boggles me.
