SB should keep the Viking in the middle and lose Jedinak and Whellan.
He has more energy than the two of them together.
Blends well with forwards and defenders.
He imposes himself in every situation.
Keep him in for the rest of the season!

Agree with you about Thor,
He should be left in the team now,
But got a feeling it ain't going to happen,

Thor is the best option against teams like Reading and Barnsley, he was man of the match by a country mile. But when against someone like Cardiff it could be a very different story, I can see why some would opt for a Jedinak in them games, like the Blues game.

Jedi gives more physical presence but I still would stick with Thor in my opinion,

What I did not like from last night is anonma back in the fold,
I really don't rate him at all,
I know he was only used a a sub but he does not deserve that as well.
Very overrated for me.

Everyone has off games and when Onomah came on last night he was lively, looked very interested (which he hasn’t soon games this season), he had quick feet and set up two very very good chances. Might not have merited coming on from previous performances but from his performance last night he deserved the playing time, he did well and has made himself an option again off the bench I think.

04 Apr 2018 14:35:23
How many good games has anonmah had for villa?
He may have looked better last night but don't you think against a very poor reading side everybody looked decent!
The worse team I have seen at villa park this season.
Think that gives a distorted view in my view,
But it's all about opinions at end of day.

I can see why your thinking the way you are, his performance against Brentford away was the worse individual performance of the season I’d say. However his good performance outweigh his bad, last night he was as good as can be in a cameo, Bristol away he won us a point on his own, Preston away he was man of the match. I have slated him big time because when he has a bad game it really is bad, however it’s easy to let that make you forget the others, he’s had more good than bad however when it’s bad it’s really bad and often it looks like his disinterested. He’s a good option off the bench and I think using him as sub when we’re 3-0 is fine, keep him on his toes in case his needed in the play offs.

Would much prefer ohare mate!
He will not get a chance while Bruce is in charge I fear,

04 Apr 2018 18:16:48
Agree completely with Oldvillan on this.
Bjarnason is far more versatile, he can defend, create, and finish, in fact he could probably fill most positions in emergencies except central defence.
Should now be a fixture until the end of the season, then look at things, keep playing like he is and he would command a higher fee, that's if he wants out of course.

Is he strong enough and physical enough to compete with a huddlestone, Bamba, Besic or McDonald in the middle Dave? I just think it’s horses for courses and for 60/ 70% of games Bjarnson is the man to play next to Hourihane to sit and keep us moving nicely, however when a team turns up with a regular enforcer who is there specifically to win the ball and nothing else can Bjarnson win those battles, I’m dubious to be honest. Jedinak has shown us time and time again if it’s a straight battle for the ball and the simple pass it to someone else to do the technical work, he will come out on top against 90% of teams in this division.

I can see the point your making chris, but, and I say this with hand on heart, in the playoffs we will need to be quicker and far more creative going forward.
I think we would have a better chance of achieving that with Bjarnason in the side.
Given a run in the side he will only get better.

04 Apr 2018 20:20:53
In honesty Dave I can see exactly where your coming from, he was phenomenal last night, him and Terry were a class above everyone.

04 Apr 2018 20:58:57
Its difficult chris, decisions, decisions.
We all see something different in players, at the end of the day I don't mind being wrong all the time, if we go up.
