Whack, Without Konsa at the back we would have been in trouble, Zaniolo tried too hard to impress and his touch wasn't the best. I appreciate you are not local and watch it on a dodgy box, you needed to understanding the hone fans were uncomfortable and at times aware that there were issues. Palace would think they were unlucky not to come away with something today and honest fans at the game wouldn't argue with that.

I agree Scot konsa is better defensively it’s just his ball playing that’s hard to watch.
Yes they will feel unlucky not getting something having scored the goal but beforehand they done very little to deserve scoring one and as soon as luck smiled on them and they got the goal they sat back even more and play acted constantly trying to run down the clock, you get punished for that in the premier league.
Over the coarse of the 110 mins or so played we were by far the better side, I understand the crowd were probably uncomfortable in that 4th quarter but it is after all the premier league and palace are not a bad side, much better team than Burnley or Everton and we got the job done, I 100% think we have lots of room to improve don’t get me wrong but as performances go that one was nowhere near our worst since January

Strange game today. I've seen people say we were excellent and others Palace were unfortunate to come away woth nothing. For me, on the balance of play we deserved to win.but I think we're all going to have to get used to being frustrated at times with Villa's slow build up and patience with the ball. When things go our way, a patient build up is fine, when we concede and we take an age to create a chance it's going to be frustrating.but over the course of a season we have to judge the tactics and stats tell us that Emery gets points. On another day we could have been four up at half time but Palace tried to do an Italian job.but as the cliche goes, good teams find a way.
I do have a slight worry that Watkins looks like he couldn't finish his dinner at the moment, but if we can get him firing and Torres toughens up a bit (and/or we get Carlos back soon) we could have a decent run. All things said, we're on track for where we should be thinking.somewhere between 5th and 9th, hopefully a decent domestic cup run and a serious challenge in europe.
