I'm just thinking out loud here, but with spurs accepting the offer for Kane what IF they come with a big offer for oldie at this late stage, there was a lot of talk a couple of weeks ago

Was literally just thinking the same thing when I seen the latest kane headline, would you accept a bit of 80 million at this point? I have to say I’d be reluctant unless we sign a top European striker before any deal for Ollie was finalised

Just to go ver old ground etc… I’ve got a problem with him not signing a contract extension and a few here saying we should sign someone prepared to play 2nd fiddle to him so as not to upset him… wasn’t Tammy Abraham a done deal before his injury? Don’t think Tammy would join to be a back up striker? Plenty of strikers have been mentioned on here, if Ollie was to go, we’ve got to aim big? I wouldn’t mess about and get Mitrovic for £52M, they’ve named their price, if we got £70/80M for Ollie then that’s smart business and guaranteed goals. I know some will say he needs crosses coming in, well cross the ball in then lol?

I like Mitrovic but you have to play a certain way to get the best out of him, play with width and get a lot of highballs into the box, Fulham, play that way and he thrives, Newcastle didn’t and Mitrovic didn’t do so well. We don’t play with that type of width under Emery. I do agree though that it appears Watkins wants to keep his options open which is fair enough, I have said all along that personally I like Patrick Schick at Leverkusen we should look to land someone of that ilk, and Monchi was involved in his transfer to Roma, so you never know. Failing that go all out for Toney in January.
