Didn’t take long did it. Some people just never happy. Most people expected Villa to be on the beach until the end of the season and whilst this wasn’t a great performance, it’s precisely the sort of game we’ve lost year in year out at this stage of the season. We just keep winning and I for one love it. We’re going to lose some games between now and the end of the season and we’re going to play better than today and lose. That’s why we shouldn’t moan when we don’t put in a 5 star performance but still win.

After that first half it was perfectly acceptable to question the team. Patience is one thing, playing statues is another, and I guarantee Emery was saying something similar at the interval.
I know Emery wants more possession and control but we need to find the balance, the team took it too far today. We got lucky that again an opponent passed it to Bert and helpfully their entire defence disappeared at the end to get the second.
Some of the recent performances have had that balance and been exciting but the midfield left Mings and Konsa basically playing by themselves today.
I don't want us to become budget 00s Brazil with 90% possession and 90% draws.
