When we sacked Gerrard we would have all probably accepted top ten as acceptable, top four is a step to far, Europe is unlikely.,however what a successful conclusion to the season whatever our final position. There is now a purpose to our style of play, with quality recruits Europe definitely beckons next season.
Good result last night and if Konsa hadnt backed off in the final seconds of Barnes run, we would probably have had another clean sheet, why he didn't get in front of Barnes was in my opinion poor defending.

Scotty, I would have accepted staying in the prem after Gerrard.
If we could stay in 7th I would be ecstatic. Top half at end of 38, brilliant.
Defensibly we have improved beyond expectations but on occasions we revert to naievety.
Too many gaps between defenders and forgetting to shut the gate.
Ollie is now what he was in year 1.
What about Harvey- Barnes in the wide role that we look like keeping?

Would love Barnes TOV, agree regarding defensive naivety, however i think Emery will address this.
