It is becoming increasingly obvious that Emery is finding it tougher than we all expected to land his prime targets. It is clearly not the plan for Duran to be a no. 1 striker option but he may have more opportunity than we all thought this season.
Now into the 27th day of the window and we still haven't addressed the 2 key areas that needed strengthening.
I'm guessing we're either going to have to settle for 2nd or even 3rd choice players or UE will wait until the summer.
Given that we currently appear safe and European football is a pipe dream maybe we should wait until the end of the season to start the rebuild.
I just hope that our lack of depth doesn't come back to haunt us.
Overall this window so far is a disappointing 5/10.

I think if he can’t get who he wants I think he will definitely wait, I have no doubt he will have one or two targets for key positions like Guendouzi and McKennie for central midfield, and Williams and Delafeou for out wide but if he can’t get those in this window he doesn’t strike me as the type who will accept second best he will wait until the summer.

theres still ages to go yet mate let's wait and see until window is closed,jan window is the hardest to get players because no1 wants to sell there players in middle of season,we will still bring in 3 i reckon cm,winger,and striker .we just need to be patient that's all

Guendouzi will happen very soon. Just waiting for a replacement before he can be released. Also I think the Brazilian winger is a possible. McKennie doesn't strike me as an Unai Emery kind of player so not expecting him. Don't panic though. The fat lady isn't singing just yet. It might all happen on Tuesday.
