Interesting team selection, we all heard Emery say a trophy is his dream, yet he puts out a weakened team, obviously he sees the premier league safety as a priority, no complaints with me, yet credibility means a lot to me and a cup win is our only chance of success this season and he appears to have abandoned this already.

He needs to assess his squad before January this is one of the few chances he gets to look at most of his squad in a competitive match. Team selection makes sense to me

It was so obvious that tonight was about the future and which players he can trust and those he can’t.
I’d rather lose this game if/when it benefits us in the long run.
Sunday’s win was way more important and we played it a lot safer then than tonight.
Tonight gave us a glimpse of the direction Unai wants to go and with identifying where we need to strengthen to achieve it.

I don’t get it to be honest, 1 more game and almost all these players have over a month off from competitive football, your playing united away give it your best shot
