Listening to TalkSPORT on Saturday night the City fans were slaughtering Jack to high heaven saying he's not good enough Foden should stay every time. So how about if Emery is going to have a significant transfer budget we try a cheeky bid to get Jack back in the summer? He will have got his Premiership medal, maybe even a Champions League medal and he's seen that grass isn't always greener on the other side of the hill, it would represent better value than signing Hazard in my opinion. Stick him in our side with another couple of quality additions one of whom needs to be a striker and watch us fly. It probably won't happen but one can dream!

Anything is possible LOTI. Purslow said he didn't sign a buy-back agreement with City as it would have specified a fee of twice what they paid, so it would have been financial madness. Perhaps we could have him back on loan from January and see how it goes?

Don’t think he’d come in January Menace, I think he will stick where he is until the end of the season as he might well pick up a Champions League medal to go with the Premiership one he has already got, but if he secures that and is still getting the stick he’s getting currently, and Emery shows signs of turning us around then you never know.

Personally I think we have moved on from Jack and will not be disappointed if he never comes back.

Come on guys, great player, but surely we need to move on, don't we?

Why? Class player would he not improve us? None of us wanted him to go but with the money he generated which has been re invested in the squad put him back into this side we would surely be a better outfit.

I don't see Jack being available for a few seasons yet, he's getting more game time this season under Pep so will have zero interest in moving sadly. Personally I'd take him back in a heartbeat but I don't see Jack back in a Villa shirt for a number of years, if ever. Fantastic player, one who still needs to be replaced, fingers crossed we can get a winger in January to help with the Post Jack rebuild that is sadly still happening.

You are probably right BK but the City fans do not rate him they much prefer Foden and they seem to think Pep isn’t that impressed either as Jack is always the first to get hauled off when substitutions are made. Jack enjoyed the adulation of the Villa Park faithful he was a big fish in a medium sized pool, he don’t get any kind of that respect at City so if he gets a Champions League medal this year, would he want to stay as a bit part player at the Etihad? I am not so sure.

It seems he’s also not learned to keep better company off the pitch whereas Foden seems to have learned his lesson ?
